It received an appreciation from Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Irwandy.

"They are in contact with buyers from the community, so it must be taken care of how to break the chain of Covid-19," he expressed.

His party is going to encourage all MSME actors in Central Jakarta to participate in the vaccination program.

"Vaccination techniques will be coordinated with sub-district apparatus to be filed to Aprindo," he stated.

Aprindo Chairman, Roy N Mandey said the target would be completed in a month ahead.

"This activity targets 30,000 retail employees and MSMEs in one city area, with a target of 1,000 people being vaccinated per day for the next month," he explained.

He hoped that it is expected to be a game changer for the business world, especially the modern retail sector thus the Indonesian economy could bounce back through household consumption.

"Modern retail workers are at risk of contracting and being affected by Covid-19 due to dealing directly with the public as consumers. Therefore, they need health protection and immunity," he uttered.

Trade Ministry's director general for foreign trade, Oke Nurwan hoped that similar activities are followed by other regions, thus economic activity will run in balance with health.

"It can be an example of how Jakarta is trying to balance between health and the running economy," he stated.
