The Pengantin Bridge's damaged safety rope on Untung Jawa Island, South Thousand Islands Sub-district, Thousand Islands, replaced in a bid to create more safety and comfort for tourists.

It has been started since yesterday and is targeted to be complete next week

Untung Jawa Island Pokdarwis Chairperson, Rusli expressed the damage occurred since about a year ago.

"We have involved 25 personnel to replace the rope with a 2,400-meter long white steel hose lined with hose to make it more durable and strong and not dangerous," he expressed, Sunday (6/20).

Aside that, he thanked the corporate social responsibility (CSR) help from PT Nusantara Regas.

"It has been started since yesterday and is targeted to be complete next week," he explained.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi expressed his grateful to the company that had collaborated to maintain the island facilities.

"Thank you for the help, it's very useful and supports the progress of the tourism sector on Untung Jawa Island," he stated.
