6,177 Residents Aged18-59 Years Have Been Vaccinated in Thousand Islands

Thousand Islands Regency together with related agencies continued to optimize COVID-19 vaccination program for residents aged 18-59 years. Based on data from Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency, 6,177 residents in 6 urban villages in North Thousand Islands and South Thousand Islands Sub-districts had been vaccinated.

Thousand Islands Assistant for Economy, Administration, and Development, Iwan P. Samosir said, vaccination program is accelerated by involving all relevant agencies.

"I am quite pleased because residents, including Kelapa Island Urban Village, are quite enthusiastic to visit COVID-19 vaccination locations," he said when directly monitoring COVID-19 vaccination program in Kelapa Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands, Wednesday (6/23).

Meanwhile, Thousand Islands Health Sub-agency Head, Herwin Meifendi stated, as many as 17,523 targeted residents aged 18-59 years had been vaccinated against COVID-19 as of June 21, 2021.

"As of yesterday, 557 residents in South Thousand Islands and 938 residents in North Thousand Islands had been vaccinated," he stated.
