West Jakarta Roads PU Sub-Dept Budget Absorption Below 10 Percent

Budget absorption of West Jakarta Road Public Works Sub-Department this year is just below 10 percent. From 127 road repair activities consist of 79 roads elevation reinforced with concrete, 28 hotmix layer, and 20 sidewalks repair, only eight activities that would be realized until this end of year.

Indeed, the 2014 budget absorption is low. The reason is because it is hampered in budget amendment which has not been signed

“Indeed, the 2014 budget absorption is low. The reason is because it is hampered in budget amendment which has not been signed,” admitted Head of West Jakarta Road Public Works Sub-Department, Suko Wibowo, Thursday (11/20).

According to Wibowo, not much of road repair done since Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Unit (ULP) handles the activities proposed. As a matter of fact, the change on budget amendment proposed was just informed on last November 10, and only eight activities agreed from 127.

“For hotmix layer, there are 28 activities but only eight approved. While for other activities like road elevation and sidewalk repair, those cannot be done. Particularly for the 79 roads elevation reinforced with concrete, those will be our priority to be done next year,” he stated.

Regarding the eight hotmix layer activities done this year, Wibowo informed they are located on Jalan Sasak Dalam II, Jalan Saari, Migas 01 Complex, DPR 06 and 07 Complex, RW 01, 02, 03, 04, and 08 Kelapa Dua Urban Village, Jalan Kampung Rawa, Jalan H Usman, Jalan Kebon Raya 3, Jalan Jeruk Manis, Jalan Bali, Jalan Garut, and Jalan Jeruk Nipis.

“The total budget total of those eight activities is Rp 12 billion. It means, if totaled from 127 activities and only eight activities realized, so the budget absorption is just below 10 percent,” he uttered.
