Thousand Islands Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency examined sacrificial meat in 3 urban villages on D+1 of Eid al-Adha 1442 Hijri or July 21, 2021. From this examination, 2 kilograms liver and lungs were found unfit for consumption because it contained of worms.

Thousand Islands KPKP Sub-agency Head, Devi Lidya mentioned, her side examined health of 67 sacrificial animals on Lancang Island, Karya Island, and Sebira Island which slaughtered on D+1 Eid al-Adha.
"We examine meat and offal of total 11 cows, 14 goats, and 42 sheep. There are 2 kilograms liver and lungs contained of worms which immediately destroyed," she stated, Thursday (7/22).

"We want to ensure sacrificial animals meet the requirements an
d their meat and offal are safe for consumption," she conveyed.As previously reported, Thousand Islands KPKP also carried out similar activity in other residential islands on Eid al-Adha (July 20, 2021). As the result, her side found 21.5 kilograms offal from total 221 sacrificial animals that were not fit for consumption.
