BOP to Be Added 10-20 Percent

Jakarta Dept. of Education is about to add the Education Operational Aid (BOP) 10-20 percent due to new fuel price.

Since 2010, BOP amount still the same, while fuel price hikes twice during this 4 year

Lasro Marbun, Jakarta Education Department Head, said, the raise of school operational and daily expenses in capital affect the raise of this BOP. So, his side immediately held study to raise BOP around 10-20 percent.

"Since 2010, BOP amount still the same, while fuel price hikes twice during this 4 year," Marbun expressed, Saturday (11/22).

Lasro added, in 2013, Premium (low octane) fuel raised from Rp 4,500 to Rp 6,500 or as much as 44 percent, while diesel fuel raised 22 percent from Rp 4,500 to Rp 5,500. Then this year, Premium went to Rp 8,500 and Solar raised to Rp 7,500.

"The average raise is 33 percent. It means the market price hike is 25 percent, while transportation is 10 percent," he added.

Due to this condition, Marbun will form special team to study the raise amount of BOP next year. "It is expected to raise from 10 to 20 percent. School recovery fund should be better," he stated.
