32 Students Involved in Deadly Brawl Expelled from School

All 12 students of State Senior High School (SMAN) 60, who were involved in a brawl that killed Andi Audi Primary (16), eleventh grader student of SMAN 109, are expelled from school due to they are considered had broken the rules which supposed to be obeyed. This decision is taken to create deterrent effect.

There are 12 students expelled. Their parents will be summoned on Monday (11/17) to receive the expel letter and asked to find another school for their children

“There are 12 students expelled. Their parents will be summoned on Monday (11/17) to receive the expel letter and asked to find another school for their children,” stated Head of Jakarta Education Department, Lasro Marbun, Friday (11/14).

According to Marbun, 20 students of SMAN 109 are also expelled for having involved in the brawl. Besides giving sanction to the students, his department will also give sanction to the two school headmasters. Both of them will get warning letter 1 to 3.

Meanwhile, Erlitha (36), mother of the deceased Andi Audi Pratama, finally fulfilled the invitation from Acting Jakarta Governor Basuki ‘Ahok’ Tjahaja Purnama. She is also grateful because Ahok took firm action in this case.

Alhamdulillah (thank God), he (Ahok) responded this case very firm by expelling the perpetrators (students involved in the brawl, red.) from their schools, and stressed that they will not be accepted in school in Jakarta,” she disclosed.

Erlitha lets the police to handle this case. She also wishes that her meeting with Ahok could cut the chain of brawl which often happened between students.

“I don’t want brawl between students to happen again ever,” she said.
