Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama signed the governor regulation on public transport tariff changes in the capital. In such regulation, Transjakarta bus tariff was not discussed. Moreover, the bus has received a subsidy from the city administration. Additionally, Transjakarta bus does not use fuel, but gas fuel.
According to Muhammad Akbar, Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, the new tariff was decided in accordance with a meeting held by Organda and DTKJ on Wednesday (11/19). "For tariff calculation, we already had formula from Director General of Land Transportation Decree, starting from calculating driver salary, oil, profit 10 percent, and spare part," he uttered.
As known, President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo had decided to raise fuel price, In details, fuel type premium increased from Rp 6,500 to Rp 8,500 and diesel from Rp 5,500 to Rp 7,500.
