Zebra Operation, A Motorcyclist Without Helmet Fainted

The Zebra operation that launched by City Police is not discriminate in controlling the traffic rule offenders, including student and housewife. As experienced by Ella (37), a resident of Jalan Flamboyan, RT 05/05, Kebon Jeruk Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-District, West Jakarta. She was shocked after police gave a speeding ticket to her.

When she woke up from fainting, Ella admitted, she does not know about the Zebra operation that has been imposed today or Wednesday (11/26). She did not wear an helmet at that time because she was in a hurry.

3,000 Police Officers Deployed in Zebra Operation

"I wanted to go to a restaurant in Slipi along with my children and aunt. But, I was ticketed by police officers," she explained, Wednesday (11/26).

Meanwhile, Chief of West Jakarta Traffic Unit, Adj. Sr. Cmr. Ipung Purnomo disclosed the operation this year is focused on two offenses, namely contra-flow as well as picking up and dropping off passengers in a forbidden place. He says, his side targets three points in West Jakarta, such as Jalan Raya Slipi, Jalan S Parman and Jalan Raya Grogol.

 

"In West Jakarta, there are three traffic violation-prone areas, namely Jalan Raya Slipi and Jalan S Parman, and Jalan Raya Grogol," he mentions.
