Jakarta Government and PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI/Persero) Tbk signed an agreement on utilization of property belonging to PT. BNI (Persero) in form of land to Jakarta Government with borrow-to-use scheme in the context of station area arrangement phase 2.

The signing was carried out by Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo and PT. BNI (Persero) Tbk Asset Management and Procurement Division Head, Vita Dwi Kurniasih which took place in Collaboration Room, Fourth Floor of Block G, Jakarta City Hall.
Syafrin said the cooperation agreement for the use of PT. BNI's land in Kota Tua was carried out in order to arrange Kota Tua Station. In principle, the arrangement includes transportation integration with the surrounding spatial layout, creating intermodal integration to improve people's mobility and facilitate continuous movement of all passengers.

BNI's land is important because there is provision of new route for public transportation service so there is efficiency and effectiveness of Transjakarta lanes or corridors in Kota Tua," he conveyed after signing the agreement on Tuesday (9/14).
According to him, there are several lands that are collaborated and become a part of road provision that can be used for Transjakarta development. For example on the south and east sides.
"With comprehensive arrangement, there will be integration between transportation modes and spatial planning. There is also intermodal integration thus people's mobility becomes easier and more convenience, surely we also concern about safety aspect," he mentioned.
Meanwhile, Vita Dwi Kurniasih added, this cooperation will last for four years. The important point is that there is clarity for her party that land use is important for the common good.
"Before it was only used by BNI, now it can be used by wider community. As has been stated, we really want to revive the history of Kota Tua as tourist destination for local and foreign tourists," she said.
