Channel on Jalan Kalibaru Barat is Being Dredged

North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency personnel are currently dredging channel on Jalan Kalibaru Barat VII RT 03 RW 15 Kalibaru Urban Village, Cilincing. This dredging work is carried out to normalize channel due to siltation.

We dredge it to optimize water flow, thus it can minimize inundation during rainy season

North Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Drainage Maintenance Section Head, Yursid Suryanegara stated, this channel which has length 355 meters and width 40 centimeters has been dredged since Monday (10/11). His side targeted to finish the work by the end of this month.

"We dredge it to optimize water flow , thus it can minimize inundation during rainy season," he said, Tuesday (10/12).

For dredging mud on the channel with thickness about 20 centimeters, his side deployed 10 personnel to dredge it manually every day using hoe, shovel, and plastic bag.

"We dredge it one meter deep to increase its capacity," he conveyed.
