The draft bylaw on 2021 city budget (APBD) amendments proposed by the Jakarta administration was approved by the legislature through a plenary meeting with the Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD), on Monday (10/25).

It was carried out symbolically through the signing of an agreement with the legislative leader, which was represented by DPRD Vice Chairman, Suhaimi with Governor Anies Baswedan. It was then followed by a symbolic handover of the draft bylaw to the chief executive.

"We express our gratitude and high appreciation for the support and seriousness in observing and reviewing all the material substances for the 2021 APBD amendments," expressed the Governor, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Monday (10/25).

He stated, his party would follow up on various suggestions, comments, and recommendations from the council that were submitted during the process of discussion, completion, and approval of the substance of the 2021 APBD amendment material.

"This is according to the provisions of the existing laws and regulations, as well as provisions submitted by the Central Government through the Home Ministry. All of them will be important notes for the executive to further action. Hopefully, we can continuously synergize and optimize together related to handling and increasing health recovery capacity, handling economic impacts, especially keeping the business world in their respective regions alive," he added, at City Council building, Central Jakarta.

Aside that, he emphasized the importance of implementing the values of the spirit of partnership between the executive and the legislative in a proportional and professional manner, thus it could be improved in the future.

"Once again we thank you profusely, hopefully it can strengthen our commitment to improve progress and create happiness for our citizens," he concluded.
