Thousands Trees in Central Jakarta have Been Pruned

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency cut thousands trees in eight sub-districts in the region. It was carried out to anticipate fallen trees and keep the area neat and beautiful.

Central Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda conveyed, from January to October 29, 2021, total 3,756 trees had been pruned.

"We have entered rainy season, so we intensify our monitoring on trees that are prone to falling," she stated, Saturday (10/30).

61 Trees Planted in Jankes Munjul Green Open Space

Generally, she explained, trees were pruned because of dry (dead), porous, and repair on channels and sidewalks which require trees on the area need to be pruned.

"We deploy personnel from sub-agency level to our unit in sub-district level. We will continue to intensify monitoring on trees that are prone to falling," she mentioned.
