Post-Flood Cleaning, PPSU Transport 10 Cubic Meters Garbage in 3 RTs

Total 20 PPSU personnel of Cipinang Muara, Jatinegara, East Jakarta managed to clean 10 cubic meters of garbage carried by flood occurred on Monday (11/1) afternoon in RT 06, 07, 12 of RW 13 due to overflowing Sunter River.

The post-flood cleaning is monitored by six Jakarta BPBD members

Cipinang Muara Urban Village Head, Ciptono said, those garbage were disposed to Cipinang Besar Dumpsite (TPS) on Jl. Basuki Rahmat. While residual mud from the flood is used to fill holes in the ground. Mud thickness is about 20-30 centimeters, the thickest is in RT 12/13 with 30 centimeters.

"Thank God, post-flood handling in RW 13 has been completed," he added, Tuesday (11/2).

PPSU Deployed to Clean Up Mud After Flood in Cipinang Melayu

PPSU personnel were deployed with two motorbike carts, two operational cars and equipment to clean up the area affected by flood.

"The post-flood cleaning is monitored by six Jakarta BPBD members," he mentioned.

Cipinang Muara RW 16 LMK Member, Pradita conveyed, BBWSCC has provided assistance in form of one stationary pump placed in Cipinang Indah Housing Complex. When flood occurs, residents who have been trained will operate the pump immediately.

"This pump is from BBWSCC. It has been handed over to Jakarta SDA Agency for maintenance. But residents operate it when the flood occurs," he said.

In order to handle inundation in the region, residents suggested him to widen Sulaeman Phb channel outlet that leads to Sunter River. Currently, two sluice gates in the outlet has width of 1 meter and 80 centimeters. Besides, they also asked for existing drainage to be immediately repaired.
