On that occasion, the Sub-district Head said, the Ciracas area is one of the flood-prone areas in East Jakarta as it is crossed by the Cipinang River and 18 large connecting channels (Phb). Because of that, the preparedness of the personnel as well as the supporting facilities and infrastructure was very important.

"We want personnel to take quick and appropriate action when there is a flood in Ciracas area," he said.

In flood control, he assessed, there are two actions that must be taken, which is to ensure the disaster does not result in casualties. Then personnel must be on standby to continuously monitor potential disasters from time to time and be responsive in handling them quickly, and must gather together strength in dealing with disasters.

"Hopefully, the evacuation of refugees and logistical support can be carried out optimally in order to minimize casualties," he continued.

For supporting facilities and infrastructure, he explained, there are currently three rubber boats on standby at sub-district office, Poncol Damkar Command Post and at Rambutan Urban Village office.

"We'll ask BPBD for support thus there will be additional rubber boats," he explained.

He mentioned, the flood-prone areas in his area were spread across six RWs (Kampung Rambutan), in RW 05 and 02 (Susukan Urban Village), RW 11 and 03 (Cibubur), and RW 10 (Ciracas).

"The most vulnerable point is in Kampung Rambutan as six RWs are often flooded. Moreover, they are located on the banks of the Cipinang River," he stated.
