As many as 500 joint personnel from various elements today participated in a flood preparedness ceremony in the courtyard of the West Jakarta Mayor's office, on Monday (11/15).

West Jakarta Mayor, Yani Wahyu Purwoko said, it is a form of preparedness of his staff in facing the rainy season.
"I want you all to hold on to three principles, namely alert, responsive, and guarding. This ceremony is also a form of message to all personnel and the public as a form of preparedness to face the rainy season," he expressed.
Quick Response and Action, Flood in Jakarta Subsided in Less Than 6 HoursHe went on to say that flood-prone areas in Jakarta that need to be anticipated were Rawa Buaya and Duri Kosambi in Cengkareng Sub-district; Tegal Alur and Semanan in Kalideres Sub-district; and Green Garden, Duri Kepa, and Kedoya Utara in Kebon Jeruk Sub-district.
In such areas, he had prepared three flood management teams. The first team would be led by the Assistant for Economics and Development for handling in Kalideres and Cengkareng sub-districts. The second team was led by an assistant government for handling in Kebon Jeruk and Kembangan sub-districts. Then the third team was led by an assistant for people's welfare for handling in Palmerah, Taman Sari and Tambora.
"By holding on these three principles, we are able to overcome flood problem in West Jakarta optimally and quickly," he asserted.
