The Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency has noted that they have tested around 24,910 food samples through integrated food inspection for the period January-October 2021.

According to Suharini Eliawati, Agency Head of Jakarta KPKP, the inspection targeted traditional markets, modern/supermarkets, coached locations (lokbin), agriculture and fishery centers, including online shops spread throughout Jakarta.

Similar action also targeted at 12 online shops selling fresh food of plant origin. They were Sayur Box, Foodhall Sunter, Toko Pedia Toko Mart Agove, Happy Fresh Ranch Market, Toko Pedia Toko Mart Nest Sayur Buah, Tanihub, Cari Sayur, Happy Fresh Rezeki Hayam Wuruk, Fresh Box Toko Pedia, Food Hall Grand Indonesia, Kecipir, and Tukang Sayur.
"We tested 633 samples and they were safe and free from harmful pesticide residues and formaldehyde," she explained.
She added, the action would be intensified from online and on the spot shops in traditional and modern markets, centers and lokbin.
"We want to ensure the safety of food products that are suitable for consumption and free from hazardous materials or substances," she stated.
