“We made a simulation in accordance to BMKG’s information, like mitigation and structural. We’ve mapped 125 urban villages which predicted would be inundated,” he stated, Saturday (11/29).
According to Musyawardana, the works units (SKPD) are divided into six sectors in flood mitigation efforts. For structural mitigation, it will be carried out by Public Works Department, Parks and Cemeteries Department, as well as Industry and Energy Department that are going to be assisted by some ministries. While for handling mitigation, it will be managed by BPBD that assisted by Satpol PP, Health Department, Fire and Disaster Handling Department, and stakeholders.
Flood is also predicted to hit at least 634 RWs. For the physical construction to tackle flood, it is still ongoing. In addition, the work of reservoirs normalization and water pumps repair are also continuously done.
“Since the rivers and reservoirs (normalization) is a multiyear (project), it cannot be completed this year and will continuously being done. The pumps (repair) is already 80 percent (completion) and the waterway construction would finish next year. And as for absorption well (construction project) done by the Energy Department, it’s quite good with 3,620 absorption wells,” uttered Musyawardana.
