Anti-rabies Vaccination Given to 1,413 Animals in Kemayoran

Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency has noted that as many as 1,413 rabies-transmitting animals (HPR) belonging to residents have received anti-rabies vaccines over the past two weeks.

Kemayoran Sub-district Executing Unit Head, Siti Humaeroh said, it was -conducted on October 21 to November 21. Those 1,413 animals vaccinated were 1,209 cats, 192 dogs, 7 monkeys, and 5 ferrets.

"We appreciate Kemayoran people who are enthusiastic about getting their pets vaccinated. This is a form of concern for the health of animals, including its owners," she expressed, Friday (11/19).

Rabies Vaccination in North Jakarta Reaches 40.64 Percent of Total Target

Based on the location of the anti-rabies vaccination every urban village which lasts for two weeks, there were Serdang (255 animals), Kemayoran (143 animals), Sumur Batu (236 animals), Cempaka Baru (161 animals), Kebon Kosong (175 animals), Gunung Sahari Selatan (141 animals), Utan Panjang (87 animals), and Harapan Mulya (215 animals).

"Similar action will also be conducted next year through door-to-door system to urban village offices, RPTRAs, and RW secretariat offices," she stated.
