The Jakarta Child Protection and Empowerment and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency has offered a cooperation to the academic community from fifteen public and private universities in the case of the 16-Day Campaign Against Women and Children.

Campaign, which has been implemented from November 25 to December 10, 2021, carries the theme Together Protect Women and Children with the taglines #KitaBerhakAman, #JakartaRamahPerempuan, and #JakartaRamahAnak.

Jakarta PKK Movement Team Chairwoman, Fery Farhati prompted all parties to use the momentum to voice, educate, and pass on information related to the prevention and handling of acts of violence against women and children, and to emphasize that all have the right to feel safe.
"This is an effort to start small steps to reduce violence against women and children. That's why we need cooperation with various parties in ensuring that Jakarta as a safe city for children and women," she expressed, Friday (11/26).
She explained, the road to ending gender violence, ensuring the right to security and realizing gender equality still takes time. Thereby, the campaign is expected to be able to unravel issues faced by women and children related to violence.
"We also need the role of the community to create a safe city for children and women. May this campaign be a spark of enthusiasm and encouragement to take action to end violence sustainably, so let's together protect them," he explained.
In the meantime, Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head, Tuty Kusumawati said, as the initial stage, it would begin with the signing of a cooperation agreement between the PPAPP Agency with PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, Tbk, and Sahid Jakarta University.
"The peak of the campaign will also be the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the administration with the Witness and Victim Protection Agency," he uttered.
Aside that, there would also be a signing of a commitment between six BUMDs for the establishment of SAPA Post, namely PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, PT Bank DKI, PT Jakarta Propertindo, PT Jakarta Tourisindo, PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya and Perumda Pasar Jaya.
"Besides webinars, podcasts, infographics, short videos, and FGDs, we also have tiktok competition, to deliver messages of non-violence against women and children with participants from civil servants, students, children aged 12 to 18, and residents. Then the prize is supported by PT Bank DKI and PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol," he stated.
