Central Jakarta SDA Builds Channel on Jalan Veteran III

The Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is building a water channel as long as 93 meters on Jalan Veteran III, RW 03, Gambir Urban Village, Gambir.

Then it continued with the construction of a water channel with 60 centimeters width, an upstream as high as 80 centimeters and a downstream as high as 120 centimeters that is carried out manually.

"We do not use the u-ditch due to utility cables, so we do it by installing river stone sheeting on both sides and cast slup," he explained.

It carried out through 14 personnel plus one mini excavator. Actually, it has been ongoing since December 20 and is targeted to be completed by the end of January 2022. Thus far, it has touched 10 percent.

"It is expected to smoothen water flow and minimize flooding at the location," he hoped.
