5,844 Trees in Central Jakarta Pruned Throughout 2021

The Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency has noted that as many as 5,844 trees have pruned throughout the year 2021.

Mila Amanda, Sub-agency Head of Central Jakarta Parks and City Forest said, tree pruning was focused on trees in the category of porous, covering street lights (PJU), branches hanging down the road that can endanger the passersby.

She furthered, during January to December 2021, 112 trees were broken and 97 fell down. It was mostly caused by torrential rain accompanied by strong winds, moreover most trees were porous and old.
"To do pruning, we send around 70 personnel who spread out in eight sub-districts assisted by one unit of ladder car and heavy equipment type crane," he closed.
