Until Mid-December, 9,607 Trees Pruned in West Jakarta

Total 9,607 trees in 8 sub-districts had been pruned by West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency.

Tree pruning is done as our routine task and to follow up request from residents

West Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Jauhar Arifin mentioned, his side had pruned 9,607 trees from January to December 21, 2021. Tree pruning was carried out to anticipate occurrence of falling trees and broken branches caused by rain and strong wind.

"Tree pruning is done as our routine task and to follow up request from residents," he conveyed, Wednesday (12/22).

455 Personnel Prune 338 Trees in Five Regions of Jakarta

He informed that during the period, 6,688 trees were lightly pruned, 2,227 trees were moderately pruned, and 692 trees were heavily pruned.

In detail, there were 588 trees pruned in January, 589 trees in February, 611 trees in March, 657 trees in April, 711 trees in May, 1,038 trees in June.

Next, 1,126 trees in July, 1,014 trees in August, 1,014 trees in September, 1,099 trees in October, 1,284 trees on November, and 1,106 trees in December.

"In January to December, there were 276 fallen trees and broken branches," he added.
