8,531 Vehicles in Central Jakarta Netted Due to Traffic Violation in 2021

Central Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub) continues to promote discipline in traffic. In 2021, as many as 8,531 motor vehicles were netted due to violating traffic order.

Central Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Wildan Anwar conveyed, 8,531 motor vehicles were netted in various operations, such as vehicle eligibility, flattening operation (OCP), towing, ticketing, and stop vehicle operation.

Sidewalk alongside Jalan Abdul Rahman Saleh Being Improved

"During the operations, we deploy 250 personnel in the field along with 17 tow trucks," he said, Saturday (1/8).

He explained, for OCP, his side netted 4,329 two-wheeled vehicles, 78 three-wheeled vehicles, and 129 four-wheeled vehicles. For towing operation, his side towed 1,079 vehicles parked illegally on the roadside and 317 vehicles on the sidewalk. His side netted also 1,459 two-wheeled vehicles parked on the roadside, sidewalk, and others.

"For stop vehicle operation, there are 211 vehicles, including 696 public transports and 233 freight cars netted," he stated.

According to him, all vehicles netted are mostly due to parking illegally on the sidewalk and roadside. Total retribution collected from the operations are directly deposited to Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda).

As for 8 sub-districts in Central Jakarta, he informed that most traffic violations occurred in Tanah Abang, Sawah Besar, and Kemayoran Sub-districts.
