Floods on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya Gradually Recede

As many as 150 joint personnel had been deployed to deal with flooding on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, precisely at the Ancol tunnel and intersection, Pademangan Barat Urban Village, Pademangan Sub-district, North Jakarta.

Pademangan Barat Urban Village Head, Sugiharjo Timbo said, flooding was also detected in residential areas in RW 07, 09, and 13.

"Those joint personnel are from SDA Sub-agency, Transportation Sub-agency assisted by PPSU to clean water channels around the area in order to smoothen water flow," he expressed, Tuesday (1/18).

Flooding in Kampung Melayu Begins to Subside

According to him, the high rainfall from morning to afternoon had caused flooding on Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya and residential areas.

"We clean gutters and channel filters in RW 13, including the end of Jalan Gunung Sahari from the garbage blockage thus the flow to the Viaduct Water Pump becomes smooth," he said.

He added, the flooding in residential areas and Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya was gradually receding.

"Alhamdulillah, after making sure the flow in the channel and gutter is smooth, flooding recedes quickly," he stated.
