MRT and Dishub Collaborate to Provide School Bus Integrated Service

To realize an integrated transportation service, PT. MRT Jakarta's Director of Operation and Maintenance, Muhammad Effendi and Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub)'s School Transportation Management Unit (UPAS) Head, Ali Murtadho signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday (1/28).

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo conveyed, this collaboration aimed to support an integrated system in Jakarta by providing a feeder system for Jakarta MRT and school bus users.

Currently, there are two routes that have been integrated, namely Route 11 (Ciledug-Blok M BCA Station) and Route 14 (Pondok Labu-Cipete Raya Station).

He stated that the Jakarta Government would make a paradigm shift by encouraging the transit system, which previously tended to private vehicles to become public vehicles.

"These two routes are a start. In the future, we will realize integration by collaborating with JakLingko for other routes," he mentioned.

Meanwhile, PT. MRT Jakarta's Director of Operation and Maintenance, Muhammad Effendi said, through this collaboration, the integrated transportation service would be developed by providing feeder transit connectivity from UPAS bus fleets to MRT stations.

"There is a possibility that Jakarta MRT transportation travel packages will be made for students, such as Jelajah Jakarta MRT dan Bus Sekolah program," he said.

This collaborative work was also done as a realization in campaigning safe, comfortable, and efficient public transportation to children from an early age.

"This collaboration will explore integrated transportation service schemes for infrastructure and other supporting facilities," he added.

So far, UPAS has provided 166 school buses to serve 20 regular routes and 13 zoning routes that can be used by students for free at 05:30-07:00, 11:00-16:00, and 17:00-19:00.

Integrated transportation cooperation between MRT Jakarta and UPAS will serve the following routes:

1. Route 11 (Ciledug l-Blok M BCA Station)

*Route to Blok M BCA Station:

Ciledug - Blok M BCA Station (Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto Ciledug - Ciledug Raya - U-turn at gas station (SPBU) on South Tangerang border - HOS Cokroaminoto Ciledug - Ciledug Raya - Pakubuwono - Bumi - Kyai Maja - Trunojoyo - Sultan Hasanuddin - Blok M Bus Terminal/Blok M BCA Station

*Route to Ciledug:

Blok M Bus Terminal/Blok M BCA Station - Jalan Sultan Iskandarsyah - Jalan Tirtayasa - Jalan Gunawarman - Jalan Senopati - Jalan Pattimura - Jalan Kyai Maja - Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto Ciledug - Jalan Ciledug Raya - U-turn at gas station (SPBU) on South Tangerang border

2. Route 14 (Pondok Labu-Cipete Raya Station)

*Route to Cipete Raya Station:

Pondok Labu-Pinang 1 - Marga Satwa (Pangkalan Jati) - Pangkalan Jati - Jalan Fatmawati Raya

*Route to Pondok Labu:

Cipete Raya Station - Jalan Fatmawati - Pangkalan Jati - Marga Satwa (Pangkalan Jati) - Pinang 1 - Pondok Labu

These two routes pass Fatmawati Station, Cipete Raya Station, Haji Nawi Station, Blok A Station, and Blok M BCA Station.
