Health Agency Records Increase in Bed Occupancy Rate

The Jakarta Health Agency recorded the bed occupancy rate (BOR) at referral hospitals in Jakarta has increased significantly by 45 percent of the available capacity. While Intensive Care Unit (ICU) occupancy is currently around 14 percent of available capacity.

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia mentioned, hospital facilities were still quite under control amid the current surge in COVID-19 cases and BOR in hospitals.

"ICU occupancy is 14 percent, isolation occupancy is 45 percent. Currently, the decision may not have been made and the analysis is carried out every week," she stated, Friday (1/28).

According to her, the Jakarta Government could increase bed capacity if needed.

"Of course, that is by making adjustments to the hospital," she added.

Based on Jakarta Health Agency's Data, the number of active cases increased by 1,886 cases. In total, there were 14,082 people undergoing treatment or self-isolation.

About 88.6 percent of total 12,483 active cases in Jakarta were from local transmission and the rest were from people traveling abroad.
