Last January, 796 Trees Pruned in West Jakarta

In January 2022 period, the West Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency has pruned around 796 trees in 8 sub-districts.

We hope people will feel safer and more comfortable after the pruning

West Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency Head, Djauhar Arifien conveyed, his side pruned trees in green belts, collector roads, parks, and other places thus these facilities were neatly arranged and well maintained.  

"Besides, pruning is also carried out to anticipate fallen trees or broken branches during heavy rains accompanied by strong winds," he mentioned, Thursday (2/3).

66 Trees in Kemayoran Pruned to Prevent Unwanted Things

Of 796 trees pruned, as many as 571 trees were lightly pruned, 131 trees were moderately pruned, and 94 trees were heavily pruned. Those were angsana, mahogany, banyan, mango, asem kranji, glodokan, pine, sengon, guava, and sapodilla trees.

In pruning, his side was focused on trees whose branches were very thick, old, and prone to falling.

According to him, residents also requested tree pruning through Citizen Relationship Management (CRM) and JAKI applications.

"We hope people will feel safer and more comfortable after the pruning," he stated.
