MRT Collaborates with TNI to Provide Optimal Security

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) and Indonesian Army (TNI AD) signed a cooperation agreement on the Security Assistance and Exchange of the Security Information.

This agreement was signed by PT. MRT Jakarta President Director, William Sabandar and TNI Pangdam Jaya/Jayakarta Major General, Untung Budiharto at Bundaran HI MRT Station, Central Jakarta.
The points agreed in the agreement included security assistance and exchange of security information which will last for the next three years.

For information, the security cooperation has been carried out by both parties since 2019 and is currently being strengthened with aspects of security information exchange.
It is expected to provide a sense of security for MRT Jakarta customers, especially in stations, trains, depots, and substations.
"Including in the phase 2 development points that are currently under construction. For example from Jalan Thamrin to Kota, especially in areas that pass through ring 1 area," he mentioned, Friday (2/11).
At the same location, TNI Pangdam Jaya/Jayakarta Major General, Untung Budiharto added, MRT Jakarta is not only a vital national object, but also the pride and symbol of an advanced city.
Through this collaboration, he hoped the exchange of security information would assist security strategies in line with the development of society.

. Thank you for the opportunity given to work together in keeping Jakarta safer and more prosperous," he said.Currently, there are around 300 units of surveillance cameras in all MRT stations, trains, and depots which are monitored by Security Command Center for 24 hours.
Around 700 officers are also deployed along MRT Lebak Bulus-Bundaran HI route, stationed at depots, trains, stations, and areas outside the station.
