The South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency continues to accelerate the construction of the water channels on Jalan Panjang Cidodol, Cipulir Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama Sub-district.

Kebayoran Lama Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head Andrian said that the construction was started from the red light on Jalan Panjang Cidodol which crosses Jalan H Amsar to Block C Lemigas Housing Complex.
"It is done to minimize puddles in front of the Naval Command and Staff School Building due to the hollow road," he expressed, Monday (3/14).

"We have also proposed for a logging permit for 10 trees affected by the construction of channels to the PTSP office and are coordinating with the South Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency," he explained.
He went on to say that the total length of the channel to be built was 1,600 meters from the Cidodol Red Long light to Jalan Al Mubarok.
In the initial stage, the channel long that has been made is about 256 meters starting from the red light on Jalan Panjang Cidodol which crosses Jalan H Amsar or in front of the Lemigas Housing Complex.
"The workers dug the channel and installed the culvert very carefully due to the existence of high-voltage power lines and other utilities. We also deploy small backhoe equipment to optimize the dredging work," he added.
Kebayoran Lama Sub-district Head Iwan K Santoso added that his party was coordinating with RT/RW administrators to disseminate information to the Lemigas Housing Complex residents regarding the construction of channels to deal with inundation that often occurs in Cipulir area.
"I hope they understand the current condition of traffic congestion due to the ongoing construction of the channel," he stated.
