Jakarta's score in MCP 2021 reached 90.01 percent

He emphasized that the increase in MCP achievement showed the Jakarta Government's seriousness and commitment to implement good, clean, and accountable governance.

"Jakarta's score in MCP 2021 reached 90.01 percent. MCP is important for the regional government as a measure of its seriousness in preventing corruption for the role and function of a good, clean, and transparent government. It is also very important to strengthen the Jakarta Government's commitment to realize good governance that is free from corrupt practices.

The government also keeps intensifying its efforts to prevent and eradicate corruption by being cooperative and responsive in following up on recommendations from KPK.

"We continue to improve governance aspects, especially the commitment to upholding accountability. Thank God, our commitment to upholding accountability has made Jakarta Government receive the Unqualified Opinion (WTP) for 4 consecutive years," he conveyed.

This success is the result of improvements in governance that have been carried out, namely:

a. Strengthening the implementation of Financial Planning and Budgeting Information System. Adjusted to changes in PP Regulation No. 12/2019 on Regional Financial Management

b. Strengthening the implementation of non-cash transactions in the regional revenue Section, by adding payment channels, especially for Regional Taxes and Retribution payment

c. Fulfilling adequacy of regulation, human resources, and information system for implementation of government's procurement of goods and services

d. Fulfilling adequacy of budget, inspectorate human resources, and accelerating the completion of follow-up on reports regarding internal and external auditor's examination results

e. Fulfilling regulations, human resources, and adequate infrastructure in realizing excellent and fast public service

f. Cooperating with prosecutor's office and Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to accelerate the control and collection of social and public facilities assets from developers

g. Optimizing regional asset security by accelerating regional asset certification activities

h. Increasing revenue from the use of regional assets by establishing BLUD Asset Management Unit (UPMA)

Those were carried out through a collaborative work of all parties involved and a strong commitment of all regional apparatuses in the government.

"I'm optimistic that Jakarta can achieve a better score in 2022. I appreciate SKPD heads for their performance regarding MCP achievement. It means corruption prevention is integrated by improving governance in eight sectors summarized in MCP or the achievement of corruption prevention in Jakarta is better than the previous years," he said.

The government, he assessed, would need enlightenment and education to carry out its various duties and functions to promote anti-corruption.

"Therefore, we welcome MCP in 2022. For information, MCP is monitoring the performance of programs related to the coordination and supervision of corruption prevention which conducted by regional governments throughout Indonesia," he mentioned.

MCP is an integrated application developed by KPK as an effort to prevent corruption to facilitate the monitoring, coordination, and supervision of corruption prevention, one of which is operated by the local government.

The goal is to encourage the regional government to transform its values and practices to build good governance.

"Through this monitoring, we hope that governance implementation in Jakarta can be better by building cooperation with KPK. Appreciation to KPK for overseeing the implementation of development programs in Jakarta through anti-corruption prevention program that has been implemented so far," he closed.
