Ramadan, 90 Officers Prepared to Manage Seasonal PMKS in East Jakarta

Approaching the fasting month, The East Jakarta Social Sub-agency is about to send officers to some areas to anticipate the hotspot places for people with social and community problems” (PMKS).

It is done to enforce Bylaw number 8/2007 on Public Order

East Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head Purwono said he would coordinate with related agencies to optimize the raid against PMKS in buffer areas and at every intersection close to the center of the crowd as well as protocol roads and houses of worship. There were some areas focused such as the PGC Cililitan intersection, TMII intersection, and Jatinegara Viaduct Park intersection.

"We send 90 officers of social control and supervision service (P3S) to PMKS-prone areas," he expressed, Thursday (3/31).

Especially for houses of worship, his sub-agency would coordinate with the Mosque Welfare Council (DKM) and Satpol PP. Then for the public cemetery (TPU), he would involve Satpol PP and Parks and City Urban Sub-agency.

"It is done to enforce Bylaw number 8/2007 on Public Order," he closed.
