The Thousand Islands Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Sub-agency will promote Thousand Islands tourism to 9 malls in Jakarta and West Java.
We want to intensify promotions to attract tourists to visit and revive the tourism sector in Thousand Islands
It aims at increasing the number of visitors which has decreased due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thousand Islands Parekraf Sub-agency Head Puji Hastuti mentioned that the tourism promotion would be packaged in the form of exhibitions and promotions that featured various tourism potentials of the Thousand Islands.

According to the plan, it will be held from September to October 2022 involving young entrepreneurs, resorts, homestays, travel agents, and others.
"We expect it can increase tourist visits and improve the economy of the local community," she stated.
