South Jakarta PMI Holds Blood Donation in Mosques

The South Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) intensifies blood donation during Ramadan.

In the first week of Ramadan, we have held blood donation in three mosques

South Jakarta PMI Chairperson M. Haris mentioned that the blood donation was carried out in several mosques across 10 sub-districts after the tarawih prayer.

"Thank God, in the first week of Ramadan, we have held blood donation in three mosques, namely Baiturrahman Al Haq Mosque, Al Manar Mosque in Pesanggrahan Sub-district, and Al Itihad Mosque in Tebet Sub-district," he explained, Monday (4/11).

From the blood donation activity, his side managed to collect 158 bags of blood.

"A total of 196 people came to donate blood, but 38 people couldn't donate due to health conditions," he said.

The next blood donation would be held in eight other sub-districts, which falls on April 20.

"We are targeting to hold it in two mosques in each sub-district," he stated.
