Restoring Local Economy, Kalisari Holds Ramadan Bazaar

A total of 12 booths enliven Ramadan Bazaar which takes place at Kalisari Sub-district Office courtyard, Pasar Rebo, East Jakarta since Monday (4/11) afternoon.

We are planning to hold the event until April 24

Kalisari Urban Village Head Tarmiji mentioned this bazaar was one of the Jakarta Government's efforts for economic recovery and growth after two years of being hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We are planning to hold the event until April 24," he stated, Tuesday (4/12).

East Jakarta Mayor Opens Ramadan Bazaar Event in Pekayon

Bazaar participants consisted of PKK cadres, Karang Taruna, LMK, and PPSU families. They sold handicraft products, food and beverages, clothes, plants, and Ramadan foods.

"All products are sold at low prices. Bazaar is also held to help the community," he conveyed.

To enliven the bazaar, his side also provided free takjil (desserts to break the fast) for visitors and residents who passed in front of the urban village office. Moreover, there was also the Khataman Al-Qur'an competition which participated by 30 representatives from the civil apparatus, PJLP, and residents.

"We hold the activity in the office courtyard thus visitors feel safe and comfortable and do not cause traffic jams," he said.
