Visitors Enjoy Army’s Weapons System Exhibition at Monas

Commemorating the 69th Juang Kartika Day, the Indonesian Army (TNI AD) is holding weapons system (alutsista) exhibition at National Monument (Monas) area until upcoming December 14. The weapons are made by PT Pindad, PT Dirgantara Indonesia, and PT LEN (Electronics and Alkom Industrial).

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, visitors from children until adults are fun watching the armaments owned by TNI AD. They also took pictures of themselves with weapons of infantry, cavalry, artillery, air defense, etc. Other advanced war equipments are also exhibited in this event, such as Leopard Tank, Anoa Panzer, and other combat vehicles.

“I come here to see the Leopard Tank live since all this time I could only watch it on television. But unfortunately, I can’t see the inner side of the tank,” expressed Dadan (33), a Jati Asih resident, Friday (12/12).

TNI Gives Beret and Honorary Brevet to Ahok

Indonesian Army Deputy Chief of Staff Let. Gen. M Munir informed this is the third exhibition. It deliberately held to make people get closer with the army.

“It is also a form of accountability to the people over the provision of the state budget to the Army. We also display the latest defense equipment like MBT Leopard which just been purchased from Germany,” he stated.

“Please enjoy the exhibition. We hope the people who come would maintain cleanliness by not throwing trash haphazardly and damaging Monas’ facilities,” added Head of Monas Management Unit (UP), Rini Hariani.
