Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama submitted 546 Budget Execution Documents (DIPA) 2015 amounting to Rp 21.08 trillion to 10 vertical institutions in the capital. The budget sourced from central government, which is the budgetary allocation from the 2015 City Budget (APBD).

It aims to provide the best service to Jakartans

Such amount received by Jakarta Provincial Government is higher than last year, which was Rp 15.8 trillion with 572 DIPA's activities.

Those 10 vertical institutions are Military Command (Kodam Jaya), City Police, Jakarta District Court, Jakarta State Prosecutore, Jakarta Law and Human Rights Regional Office, Jakarta Religious Ministry Region Office, Central Jakarta Tax General Directorate Region Office, City Secretary, Jakarta Education Department, and Jakarta Social Department

The DIPA 2015 consists of vertical institutions with 450 DIPA (Rp 20.91 trillion), deconcentration 451 DIPA (Rp 169.18 billion), co-administration 5 DIPA (Rp 8.61 billion), and common affairs 6 DIPA (5.4 billion).

Jakarta government also receives local transfer allocation by Rp 14.18 trillion, comprising the Revenue Sharing Fund (DBH) for tax Rp 11.13 trillion, natural resources Rp 0.28 trillion, and other transfers of funds Rp 2.8 trillion.

"To follow up Mr. President's mandate to work faster and smarter, the submission of DIPA 2015 is scheduled to be done by the end of this year thus it can be realized in early January 2015. It aims to provide the best service to Jakartans," disclosed Ahok, at City Hall, Monday (12/15).

He revealed, DIPA submission is done prior to the beginning of the fiscal year, to ensure the budget implementation can be started on time. Thus all government institutions may immediately execute the plans that have been set in accordance with each function. And the people able to immediately enjoy the benefits.

"The acceleration in submission of 2014 DIPA is one of the efforts to encourage the Ministry/State Institution and regional working unit (SKPD) in the ranks of Jakarta government to immediately carry out its activity in fiscal 2015," he told.

According to him, the SKPD may start the auction process in order to procure goods and services at the end of fiscal 2014. Thus, contract could be made at early fiscal 2015. This is because the DIPA implementation will affect the performance and reporting of Ministry/State Institution which is a source of DIPA.

"In deconcentra tion and co-administration activities initiated by SKPD, there must be no overlap with other activities from APBD," he uttered.
