LH Prepares 2,500 Janitors Across Jakarta during Takbiran Convoys

To maintain cleanliness in Jakarta, around 2,500 janitors of the Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency will be on standby during takbiran night convoys (recital of God is great) and Eid al-Fitr holiday.

50 janitors will be alerted in each sub-district

Jakarta LH Agency Head Asep Kuswanto mentioned that hundreds of garbage trucks and 88 automatic road sweepers would also be alerted to support those janitors.

"50 janitors will be alerted in each sub-district. Including in Bantargebang TPST which continues to provide services," he conveyed, Thursday (4/28).

His side had also prepared personnel and facilities regarding waste management in train stations and bus terminals as a follow-up to the Environment and Forestry Ministry Circular Letter No. Se.3/MENLHK/PSLB3/PLB.0/4/2022 on Waste Management during Eid Homecoming.

Those personnel were assigned to socialize Homecoming with Minimum Waste to Eid travelers in terminals and stations by asking them to bring eco-friendly shopping bags, tumblers, and food containers from home.

"Station and terminal management will also provide waste sorting facilities in several locations," he said.
