Because we know to make the city that is safe, comfort, and peace for all, we should have a good order and legal systems. Talk about order or obedience, there must be legal enforcement
The city administration, national army, and city police held a ceremony in Silang Selatan Monas, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (12/11) morning.
Ceremony led by Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama aims to strengthen solidarity of army, police, and city administration to safeguard the capital. It was also attended by Jakarta's Military Commander Maj. Gen. Agus Sutomo Jaya and City Police Chief Insp. Gen. Unggung Cahyono.
TNI Gives Beret and Honorary Brevet to AhokOn that occasion, Ahok thanked for the togetherness of police and army over the years in securing Jakarta. "Because we know to make the city that is safe, comfort, and peace for all, we should have a good order and legal systems. Talk about order or obedience, there must be legal enforcement," stated former regent of East Belitung.
He continued the idea of three partners initiated by Chief of City Police, Insp. Gen. Unggung Cahyono is very well applied in Jakarta.
On the other hand, city administration is developing Jakarta Smart City concept, which was launched on Monday.
"With smart city implementation, we can detect the officer position in the field. Whatever happens at this point, they are already in standby," he stated.
He hopes the police and army can use smart city system in maintaining security.
"Thus there will be no more officers injured due to irresponsible persons. There will be CCTVs, we will install 500 units in January and 2,500 units at the end of 2015. Then we also want to buy a trail bike. By so, the patrol officers only do monitoring through CCTV. If there is a suspicious thing, it will be followed up," he explained.
At the end of the speech, Ahok hopes the army, police, and city administration could be an example for other governments in Indonesia in accordance with President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo's expectation. This is because, the city as a storefront or a model for law enforcement is to create a safe condition.
"Indeed, there are many difficulties. But, the city administration will open door for army and police. Don't be shy to report if there is trouble," he said.
After the ceremony was over, the entertainment and door prizes handover for city administration officials, army, and police who attend the ceremony.
