Illegal Parking in East Jakarta, 59 Vehicles Netted

As many as 59 vehicles were netted by East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department from various locations, Wednesday (12/17). Among those cars were BMW B 999 HY parked on Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Toyota Vios B 1668 FK parked in front of Pramuka Market, Suzuki Carry B 9280 SAC parked on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, and Xenia B 1191 TOM parked next to East Jakarta Resort Police Headquarter on Jalan Matraman Raya.

“All cars are directly towed to Goods Terminal and Pulogebang Pool because they were parked on roadsides and forbidden places,” stated Head of Supervision and Control Section for East Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Budi Sugiantoro.

Besides towing cars, the officers also ticketed 13 vehicles which mostly public transports and boxcars, and removed the tire valves of 26 cars and 16 motorcycles. Sugiantoro promised to continue hold raid against illegal parking as well as public transports that picking up and dropping off passengers haphazardly, trespassing TransJakarta bus lanes, etc.

50 Vehicles Netted Every Day in Central Jakarta

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, illegal parking-prone areas in East Jakarta are located in front of Labschool on Jalan Pemuda, in front of Pramuka Market on Jalan Pramuka, in front of East Jakarta Resort Police Headquarter on Jalan Matraman Raya, in front of Jatinegara Train Station on Jalan Raya Bekasi Timur, Jalan Balai Pustaka Rawamangun, Jalan Jatinegara Barat, Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Jalan Otista Raya, Jalan Dewi Sartika, and Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo.
