To realize that, Ahok hopes the Government Procurement Regulatory Body (LKPP) would think in business way, not in technical way. This is because current goods and services procurement system regulated by LKPP is assessed still complicated.

According to Ahok, Jakarta Provincial Government has coordinated with Public Works Minister and Public Housing Minister to be allowed to dredge all main rivers in the capital city. So, these ministries could focus on other regions.
In addition, starting next year the developers are no longer allowed to use their right of 50-day delay from the deadline. All this time, although they are charged with fine, the loss resulted by project delay is enormously felt by the citizens.
“I ask the developers to do their obligations. Just imagine if the developers’ obligations and Jakarta Public Works Department’s budget worth trillions of rupiah were used, development program in Jakarta will be running fast,” uttered Ahok.
