The West Jakarta Health Sub-agency has re-operated integrated service posts (posyandu) in every RW in West Jakarta.

Posyandu is the front line for the health of toddlers and pregnant and breastfeeding women

West Jakarta Health Sub-agency Acting Head (Plt) Yudi Dimyati said there were 853 posyandu spread across 56 urban villages with an average of 10 cadres in each posyandu.

"Posyandu is the front line for the health of toddlers and pregnant and breastfeeding women," he conveyed, Monday (5/30).

He explained that the posyandu had been on hiatus for two years due to COVID-19. Now, the posyandu is operating again by checking the health of mothers and toddlers, including pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

In posyandu, toddlers' health was checked by providing balanced nutritional intake and measuring their height and weight.

"By reoperating the posyandu, hope we can provide better health services for mothers and toddlers," he mentioned.
