Jakarta Secretary Marullah Matali explained the mass inauguration was held again since the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020. The inauguration was directly attended by 146 people.

"As many as 9,761 of them are government employees with contractual agreements (PPPK). This is the first batch in Jakarta," he conveyed.

Meanwhile, the other 103 civil servants were inaugurated through the first appointment and two civil servants were inaugurated through transfers from other positions. They were appointed to 12 functional positions from 12 regional apparatus organizations.

Most of them with a total of 9,745 people were appointed to the functional position of teachers. Then, eight computer administrators, six goods/services procurement managers, five archivists, three public relations institutions, two road and bridge technicians, two social workers, one motor vehicle examiner, one agricultural instructor, one cultural administrator, one building and housing engineering technician, and one sports coach.

He hoped those who had been inaugurated, especially PPPK to quickly adapt to the environment and work culture in the Government. He also reminded them about Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 54/2020 on Work Culture which emphasized five work cultures, namely integrity, collaboration, accountability, innovation, and justice.

Especially for a teacher position, he asked them to adapt to changes in teaching and learning activities (KBM) patterns in schools. Previously, KBM was implemented using the distance learning method (PJJ). However, along with the decline in COVID-19 cases, face-to-face learning (PTM) is now starting to be implemented.

"There are many things that must be completed in developing the education sector within the Government. I hope you pay close attention to it," he said.
