Djarot Did First Blusukan to Manggarai Sluice Gate

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat did impromptu visits (blusukan) to the Manggarai Sluice Gate, South Jakarta, Monday (12/22) night. Since yesterday, rainfall continues to increase thus he decided to check the sluice.

"I was in Manggarai Sluice Gate until 10 PM last night," said Djarot, at City Hall, Tuesday (12/23).

The action is in accordance with his words after being inducted last week. Where, the media crew prohibited to follow him during blusukan. By so, he could hear aspirations from residents freely.

He uttered, besides Manggarai Sluice Gate, he also visited some areas, such as Jalan Tambak. Nevertheless, he was reluctant to tell resident complaints. This is because he wanted to find a solution in advance to the public. "I received a lot of people's aspirations. But it can't be published now or maybe later," he stressed.

In his blusukan, he remains ride an official car. "Initially, I wanted to ride motorcycle taxi, but I could catch a cold. Thus I decided to ride my official car," he uttered.
