DPRD Approves Public Transport Integration Fare to Rp 10,000 for a Three-hour Trip

In addition to infrastructure that connects transportation modes, the Jakarta administration also proposes transportation integration fares between Transjakarta buses, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta. Moreover, it has been approved by Jakarta DPRD.

Jakarta Transportation Agency or Dishub Head Syafrin Liputo revealed that the administration appreciated the legislature for the approval.

By so, it was expected to attract more people to switch from private vehicles to public transportation.

"Our thanks and appreciation to Commission B for the approval where the integration fare becomes Rp 10,000 for a three-hour trip. This is a joint effort to provide excellent service to the community and hopefully, in the future, more and more people will use public transportation, as it is also more comfortable and the rates are affordable," he explained, at the Dishub Office, Central Jakarta, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release, Wednesday (6/8).

He added that it would take time to implement as the fares would be approved first through the Plenary Session of the DPRD and included in the Governor's Decree.

"For the first thing is socialization on the application of this transportation integration fare. Hope everything goes smoothly thus the air quality in Jakarta can also be maintained well," he concluded.
