On New Year's Eve, North Jakarta Resort Police will prohibit trucks passing on Jl RE Martadinata. This is to anticipate traffic jam that is estimated to occur on road access to Ancol that commonly used as one of the assembly point for the citizens to celebrate New Year's Eve.

The ban applies to all types of vehicles except trucks carrying fuel

The road closure is planned to be applied since Wednesday (12/31) starting at 1 PM until Thursday (1/1) morning. Fuel truck is still allowed to pass the road.

Head Unit of Traffic for North Jakarta Resort Police, AKBP Dharmanto, said his side had sent letter to Organda to socialize this policy. His personnel will also standy on the road.

" The ban applies to all types of vehicles except trucks carrying fuel ," said Dharmanto, Monday (12/29).

Dharmanto added, his side appealed to truck drivers to see alternative roads or passing the Wiyoto Wiyono toll.

"The similar ban was also applied last year," he added.
