As many as 1,500 existing positions will be cut by Jakarta Provincial Government. The action is taken based on City Regulation (Perda) No. 12/2014 about the regional organizations. The urban village vice position will be also dismissed.

Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah said the urban village vice will be dismissed starting next year. The decision is also based on regulation which is newly passed by city council.
"The dismissal of urban village vice starts next year. The position will be included in echelon IV," he said, Monday (12/29).

There are only urban village head, secretary, and three heads section for urban village level. It is assessed that the formation is already good because One Stop Services will assist the urban village.
"It is hoped the service for citizens remains stable," he hoped.
