Pemprov DKI Jakarta Dorong Percepatan Vaksinasi Booster

Jakarta Pushes for Acceleration of Booster Vaccinations

The Jakarta administration is massively intensifying the acceleration and improvement of booster vaccination services.

Based on the data, as many as 3,895,226 residents have received a booster vaccine

Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria said booster vaccinations are intensified to foster collaboration and synergy with various parties.

"Based on the data, as many as 3,895,226 people have received a booster vaccine," he expressed, when monitoring social services and booster shots at Jati low-cost apartment (Rusunawa), Rawasari, Central Jakarta, Sunday (7/17).

795,824 Residents in West Jakarta Have Booster Vaccinations

Nevertheless, he continues to urge residents who have passed the first and second doses to take booster vaccines, including consistently implementing health protocols by wearing masks, washing hands, social distancing, maintaining health, diligently taking vitamins, exercising, and getting enough rest.

"The more easing is expanded, the higher the potential for people to leave the house, including interactions so that transmission is also high. That's simple logic. So, let's ensure the health protocols are implemented strictly and participate in booster vaccinations," he continued.

On the other hand, the central government would implement a policy to enter offices, shopping centers, public, and public places as well as tourism, residents aged 18 and over must receive a booster.

"Hopefully, this policy can trigger people to take a booster vaccination. Moreover, there has been an increase in Covid-19 cases over the past two weeks, that's why we call on residents to remain careful and apply health protocols that are obedient, wise, and disciplined responsibly," he stressed.
