Illegal Public Transports Rampant, Jalan Raya Tipar Bogged Down

Local people and road users are complaining traffic congestion around the exit door of Kawasan Berikat Nusantara (KBN), Jalan Raya Tipar Cakung, Sukapura Urban Village, Cilincing, North Jakarta. Many public transports stop or pick up passengers haphazardly, especially Metromini and city transport minibuses.  

It is like an illegal terminal, especially in Cakung and Semper

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, the Metromini and KWK U 03 minibuses are often using three areas around KBN's exit door to pick up passengers. The first is in front of KBN exit door, around gas station (SPBU) and near Sukapura Urban Village office. 

Irman, (34), one of citizens living in RT 10/07, Sukapura, uttered the congestion has been in exist since ten years ago. Unfortunately, there has been no controlling from related units.

"It is like an illegal terminal, especially in Cakung and Semper," he told, Thursday (1/8). 

In both areas, one line is often crowded by dozens of public transports. "Congestion cannot be avoided, especially at rush hours, around at 4-8 PM. If the areas are congested, it can take place two hours," he complained.

When being confirmed, Head of North Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Syamsudin promised to hold controlling on such roads in the near future. "But, we have to control Mangga Dua area, Pademangan first in three months ahead," he uttered.
