I Will Drag Unruly Notaries to BPN, Djarot Says

This is surely corruption. If we still receive report, we will follow up to the BPN to be suspended or revoked

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat asks the notary and official as land deed (PPAT) maker for directing sellers and buyers over land transaction in accordance with market price. All this time, it is only based on taxable value of property (NJOP), where its price is far below the market price.

"Can you as the notary, giving an explanation about transaction to the seller and the buyer to be matched with market price. If they refuse it, I want you to seduce them," he said, on the sidelines of a meeting with the notary and Jakarta PPAT, at City Hall , Friday (1/9).

He disclosed will continue to monitor the notary and PPAT performance in Jakarta. If there is still found illegal practice, its license will be revoked. Even he does not hesitate to report it to the National Land Agency (BPN) in charge of the the notary and PPAT.

"The current transaction is always based on NJOP or even lower. This is surely corruption. If we still receive report, we will follow up to the BPN to be suspended or revoked," he stressed.

Djarot revealed the Land and Building Taxes and Transferring Land Rights (BPHTB) had allocated 10 percent of local revenue (PAD). Thus the tax proceeds will be returned to resident for the development of the capital. "Everything will be returned to the public, I am convinced you have the art and the ability to convince the client in accordance with the transaction," he uttered.

Former Blitar Mayor also asks the notary and PPAT in Jakarta become an example and a pioneer for other areas. "Let us give all that we can be honest and dare to make a mental change in the past," he finished.
